‘Lemons to Lemonade’: West Islip teachers help hospital workers, restaurants

In West Islip, an effort is underway to keep hospital workers fed and help restaurants stay in business.
Two business education teachers at West Islip High School came up with the “Lemons to Lemonade” plan to provide food for doctors, nurses and other staff at Good Samaritan Hospital.

They've been collecting donations to give to restaurants in the area, who then make and deliver food for the hospital's staff.
Patricia Stack says they have raised more than $18,000 so far in just four days.
