As COVID-19 cases across the state accelerate by the hundreds and thousands each day, health care workers and those who support them are racing to gather life-saving supplies before an anticipated surge of patients overwhelms New Jersey's 71 hospitals.
And In Washington this week, Congress drafted a massive rescue package that would send $150 billion to hospitals and healthcare system, .part of a larger $2 trillion in spending and $4 trillion from the Federal Reserve to try and stop a shell-shocked economy from contracting further.
For more, Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-5th District) joins the show.
Plus -- mayors across New Jersey, particularly in the state's largest cities, are taking aggressive measures against the spread of coronavirus. Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop discusses.
Watch Power & Politics Fridays at 9 p.m. plus Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m. on News 12 New Jersey.
