The U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams has issued a dire warning to all Americans.

"I want America to understand this week it's going to get bad and we really need to come together as a nation," said Adams.

Despite the pandemic, Adams says many people, particularly young people, are still meeting in groups in public.
Adams says that everyone needs to take the right steps, and that means staying at home.
On Monday, the head of the World Health Organization said the virus is accelerating, but insists the trajectory of this pandemic can be changed.
