The COVID-19 pandemic has, among other things, led to the cancellation of many happy celebrations.
A New Jersey couple was supposed to get married this past Sunday, but had to postpone due to the crisis.
Rita Fermano and Timothy Sawma say that they made the decision to postpone before restrictions about gathering were put into place. They say that they had family members coming from Europe and that they were concerned about others getting sick.
They say that they are sharing their story to help other couples who have also had to cancel their big days.

"We kind of felt relief once we postponed, just to kind of make a decision,” Sawma says. “We feel like in the end, we made the right decision. If they do have the option to postpone could be a good idea for them."
"You'll find that most people are understanding and that's a big part of the relief,” says Fermano.
