A Long-Island based company is hoping to wipe away some of the blues social distancing has caused during the coronavirus outbreak. 

Boomer Productions is offering Live at Boomer's, a virtual Long Island music hall that features live acoustic performances from various artists on Facebook Live.

Ari Goldblatt, who heads up Boomer Productions, says he wanted to create a virtual space to help entertain the masses of people who who are confined to their homes during the coronavirus outbreak. He also wanted to give musicians an outlet so they can connect to their fans and play live songs to an audience.

Goldblatt says he started the Facebook site because his musician friends were putting up videos of their songs, and he thought it would be a good idea to have one digital hangout/ destination where people could go on a recurring basis.

He says there has already was a successful online show earlier this week and has at least four more planned.

Goldblatt says the first live performance received positive feedback, and the musician even gave shout outs to fans on the site and played their requests. 

He says the musicians on the site perform various types of music and are regulars at music clubs around the Island, including Bethpage, Farmingdale and Patchogue. 

The concerts are free, but tips can be sent through a Zelle or a Venmo account. 

Goldblatt says that all of the shows are acoustic and they are staying within the parameters of social distancing during the coronavirus outbreak.

Thursday, March 19, 9 p.m. - Travis McKeveny

Monday, March 23 p.m. - Amanda Kaletsky

Wednesday, March 25 - Artist to be named Saturday

Thursday, March 26 p.m. - Karen Bella
