Posted: Updated:

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran has reported the third death from COVID-19 in the county - a 76-year-old woman who resided in Hempstead.

As of this morning, at least 300 positive cases have been identified in the county.

The jump in numbers come as the rate of testing increases – including drive-through testing sites at Jones Beach and in Jericho for ProHealth patients.

Curran announced a troubling trend that there is an increase in coronavirus scams – asking for personal information from residents.

Nassau County residents can get the latest up to the date information on the virus from a county app - text COVID19NC to 888777.
