Hofstra University closes residence halls in wake of coronavirus

Officials say the school will be fully online through the end of the semester.

Hofstra University is making more changes in the wake of the coronavirus – closing all residence halls.
President Stuart Rabinowitz sent a letter to students and staff on Wednesday saying the residence halls would be closing.
All students are being asked to leave, except for those with exceptional circumstances.
He also says the school will be fully online through the end of the semester.
Virtual classes are expected to begin Monday, March 23.
No decision has been made about commencement.
