The Rockville Centre school district remains open so far while district administrators are preparing to teach their students online.

"We're trying to use everything people are accustomed to using and figure out a way to make it work at home," says Rockville Centre Superintendent William Thompson.

Due to the pandemic, Gov. Cuomo waived the 180-day minimum instructional requirement districts must meet to receive funding from the state.
