Valley Stream man held on bail for alleged Merrick store armed robbery

A Valley Stream man was arraigned Wednesday for allegedly robbing a Merrick convenience store at gunpoint.

A Valley Stream man was arraigned Wednesday for allegedly robbing a Merrick convenience store at gunpoint.
Police say Rahtae Wilson approached a convenience store clerk at the Fast Break on Merrick Avenue at gunpoint.
The 31-year-old demanded cash then fled the scene with the money, according to police.
Police say they identified Wilson with surveillance footage and DNA evidence.
He is now being held on bail.
