JCCs on high alert after receiving bomb threats

Jewish community centers around the state are on high alert after several of them received bomb threats.
Police evacuated Albany's JCC Sunday in precaution.
Speaking outside the community center, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said at least 18 JCCs received threats Sunday.  He added that there have been more threats.
"We've had about 42 incidents of anti-Semitism in this state in just the past couple of months, so it's not getting better, it's only getting worse," said Cuomo.
The president of the JCC Association of North America released a statement on the threats that read in part, "Our first priority is the safety of all JCC and JCC program participants and visitors. Having faced similar threats in 2017, our JCCs have protocols in place to respond to such scenarios. We are grateful for the immediate and ongoing response."
The NYPD says there are no credible threats against any JCCs in the city.
