Police: Multiple units broken into at Coney Island self-storage building

Police say there was an overnight break-in at the Coney Island CubeSmart self-storage building on Neptune Avenue and Shell Road between Friday and Saturday.
Multiple units were broken into, with locks clipped and doors pried open.
Many customers that came to the CubeSmart location say they were unaware of the break-in and found a sign hanging by the entrance that reads, "Due to police investigation customers will only have access to floors 4 and up. We do apologize for the inconvenience."
Some customers say they were told by management that the first, second and third floors were mainly impacted.
The gates were bent, cut, or damaged, and it is unknown what was taken from which unit.
It is unclear how many units were broken into or how many people were involved in the crime. It is also unknown if the suspect or suspects were looking for anything specific.
News 12 Brooklyn reached out to CubeSmart for comment and is waiting to hear back.
