Man charged in murder of teen found dead in Roosevelt preserve

A Roosevelt man has been arrested and is charged in two brutal murders.
Police arrested Carlos Alfaro for the 2016 murder of Josue Amaya Leonor.
As News 12 has reported, the 19-year-old vanished in September of 2016. His body was later found dumped in the Roosevelt Preserve. It's believed he was hacked to death by MS-13.
While in custody, police say they Alfaro was also connected to the murder of Carlos Ulises Ventura-Zelaya.
The 24-year-old was shot in October of 2016 outside a home on Hudson Avenue in Roosevelt. He later died at the hospital.
Alfaro is charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
