No injuries were reported. Smith was arrested.

A Nassau Police Department spokesperson told News 12 in a statement, “Police Officer Andrew Smith has been suspended without pay pending an administrative investigation by our Internal Affairs Unit. This will coincide with the criminal investigation which is ongoing.”
