Police say a 15-year-old Uniondale High School student was stabbed and struck with a baseball bat Wednesday.

Police say a 15-year-old Uniondale High School student was stabbed and struck with a baseball bat Wednesday.
They say after leaving school following dismissal, the 15-year-old boy was confronted by a group of unknown men at the corner of Walnut Street and Leslie Lane.
Police say the victim suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound, as well as a head injury from being hit with a baseball bat.
He was transported to a hospital in serious but stable condition.
School officials told News 12 in a statement, "The Uniondale School District is aware of a physical altercation involving a Uniondale High School student that took place off school property and after dismissal this afternoon."
