A North Massapequa attorney is accused of stealing more than $300,000 from a client.

The Suffolk DA says Peter Rand was a trustee of a trust created by his client.

Rand allegedly stole the money by writing checks to himself from the trust.

Prosecutors say he then spent the money on personal items, including a car.

If convicted, Rand faces up to 15 years in prison.
