Police say a pedestrian was hit by a car and killed in Brentwood Saturday night.

It happened on Crooked Hill Road around 9:20 p.m. Police say the victim, 55-year-old Nelson Gonzalez, was walking in the roadway when he was hit.

Gonzalez was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver stayed on the scene. No charges have been filed at this point.
