Wake services to be held for Mepham H.S. teacher killed in ski accident

Final goodbyes begin today for the Long Island teacher who died in a tragic ski accident over the holidays.

Mepham High School science teacher Jason Vitale, 48, of Bellmore, was killed during a skiing accident in Killington, Vermont last weekend.

Wakes for Vitale are being held today and tomorrow from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Fullerton Funeral Home in Baldwin.

A funeral Mass will follow on Saturday morning at Saint Christopher's Church in Baldwin.
