Towns all over Long Island held different events while ringing in the new year.
Many packed Main Street in Patchogue, where there was plenty of music, dancing and food until midnight. The party wrapped up with a ball drop and fireworks.
Others celebrated the end of the decade by watching a show.
Stomp gave a special New Year's performance at the Patchogue Theater.
The Paramount in Huntington hosted an 80’s party where attendees sung along to some of the biggest hits of that decade.
