Missing dog in Ronkonkoma reunited with family; SPCA probes possible theft

Posted: Updated:

Bella, a dog missing for a week from her Ronkonkoma home, has been reunited with her family.

Her owner, Fotuna Feliciano, says she got a phone call at 11:58 p.m. before Christmas Day that she was getting her dog back.

She believes Bella was stolen. Capt. Paul Llobell, of the Suffolk SPCA, says they are trying to figure out if someone tried to take Bella.

Officials say an Amazon delivery driver found the dog and put her in his truck, but it's unclear what happened to Bella after that.

"We're putting all the pieces together of the people who had possession of the dog for the past seven days and the chain of custody,” says Llobell.

In the meantime, Bella is safe, and the family is happy to have her home.
