A Nassau family is taking their Christmas decorations to the next level by helping to raise money for a children's hospital.
The Troy family, of Massapequa, opened up their home on Michigan Avenue for a "Christmas Charity Night."
In addition to the decorations, Santa Claus also stopped by to take pictures and listen to Christmas wish lists. There was also a bake sale and holiday gift sale.
All the money collected is being donated to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
"If you have a kid who are that young and something happens, it's just tough to deal with, so I figured like you know, they don't give no bills to anybody so, if you could help that cause, you might as well do it, right," says Michael Troy.
The Troy family says they decorate every year, but decided to do a little extra this year for a worthy cause.
