Police: Brentwood teen fatally stabbed mom during argument

Police say a Brentwood teen is accused of killing his mom following an argument outside the family home.
According to police, the incident happened around 6 a.m. Sunday when Dora Villatoro-Arriaza, 46, and her son, Akcel Arriaza, 19, got into an argument inside of an SUV outside their home on Adams Avenue.
Police say that is when the teen stabbed his mother to death.
"Responding officers found a woman stabbed to death inside a car. Her son surrendered himself to police as they responded," said Detective Lt. Kevin Beyrer
Police say the victim's husband and three other children were home at the time of the incident and were not hurt. Their daughter is the one who called 911.
Prosecutors say Arriaza admitted to killing his mother. Court documents show that he told police he stabbed his mom multiple times in the head and neck.
Arriaza's lawyer says all three people from his family were in court to support him and that's significant.
Arriaza was arraigned on second-degree murder charges. He's being held without bail.
