Bridgeport was aglow for the holiday season with its annual tree lighting ceremony.

McLevy Green officially became winter wonderland Wednesday as crowds of families gathered to become decked out in all of its Christmas glory.

Santa himself popped in for a visit and enjoyed a break from the North Pole to share Christmas wishes and candy canes.

Officials say they're happy to put on the city's most festive tree lighting yet, while kids say they're happy their favorite time of year is back.

It was the city's fourth edition of the tree lighting -- a tradition they say isn't going anywhere.
