Airbnb removes thousands of Boston listings to comply with stricter standards

Larry Page announced that he will be stepping down as CEO from Google parent company Alphabet. Google CEO Sundar Pichai will absorb those responsibilities at Alphabet in addition to his current role. The company said it was "time to simplify our management structure."

Airbnb has removed thousands of listings in Boston to comply with stricter standards. The new rules require hosts to apply to register their listings in that city. The crackdown comes amid an influx of similar laws proposed in cities worldwide, and comes as Airbnb is expected to go public next year.

Bart Grenier will become Fidelity Investments' new asset management chief, overseeing a division worth nearly $3 trillion. Grenier will replace Steve Neff, set to retire in early months 2020.
