Long Island's Hidden Past: Vintage holiday decorations

Posted: Updated:

Wacky, weird, and wonderful! Vintage holiday ornaments and decorations from Christmas past tell a story of celebration and new beginnings.

This month's Long Island's Hidden Past made a stop at Rosie's Vintage in Huntington.

Christmas decorations that were used by Long Islanders in the 30s, 40s, and 50s were colorful, bright and whimsical.

And Santa was on everything - from saltshakers to records.
