Officials have implemented speed restrictions along the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway due to the winter storm.
The speed limit has been lowered to 45 mph north of Interchange 9, including the Eastern and Western spurs and the Hudson County Extension.
Speed limits have also been reduced on the Garden State Parkway between Irvington and Elmwood Park.
And the state Department of Transportation has also a commercial vehicle travel restriction on portions of I-78, I-80, and I-287 starting at 12 a.m. Monday. That restriction affects all tractor-trailers, empty straight CDL-weighted trucks, passenger vehicles pulling trailers, recreational vehicles and motorcycles. It will be in effect on:

• Interstate 80, both directions from the Pennsylvania state line to exit 43 (I-287)
• Interstate 78, both directions from the Pennsylvania state line to exit 29 (I-287)
• Interstate 287, both directions from exit 21 (I-78) to the New York border
NJ Transit says it is anticipating regular service on all its services for Sunday and Monday, as long as weather conditions permit safe operation.
Residents are urged to use caution while out in the storm.
