Facebook restored after Thanksgiving service crash

Tik Tok is restoring the account of a woman who was suspended after posting a video critical of the Chinese government. The video was a witty makeup tutorial that mentioned the conditions in China. Tik Tok has since apologized to the woman and admitted they were wrong in penalizing her.

Amazon's Alexa will soon speak with emotion. A new developer's tool will let the voice assistant sound excited or disappointed, and even includes varying levels of intensity. Amazon hopes this feature will create a "natural and intuitive experience."

Facebook unexpectedly took time off for Thanksgiving. The social media service went dark during the busy holiday season due to what it said was an issue in a “central software system.” Facebook has since restored service.
