Longtime News 12 anchor Carol Silva will be returning to the desk Monday Dec. 2.
Silva revealed
back in October that she was diagnosed with stage four cancer and took a hiatus from work.
In a Facebook video Wednesday, Silva said her doctors at Northwell Cancer Institute say she is making "amazing progress."

The morning news anchor thanked her supporters for their well-wishes and prayers during her time away.
Starting Monday, News 12 will spend three weeks celebrating Silva's decades in the business.
Silva announced earlier this year that she will be retiring in late December.
