It's the season of giving, and Long Islanders came out today for the 11th annual Bethpage Turkey Drive benefiting Island Harvest.

Bethpage Federal Credit Union had a drive through set up for drop offs of frozen turkeys, non-perishable food items or monetary donations.

A total of 2,872 turkeys and more than 10,500 pounds of food were donated during the drive.

All donations go directly to Island Harvest Food Bank to help supply Thanksgiving meals to more than 300,000 Long Islanders in need.

This is Long Island's largest food drive event.
