He didn't seem drunk -- that was what a friend testified at the trial of the Holbrook man charged with driving drunk and killing a Boy Scout.
A lifelong friend of Thomas Murphy took the stand in his trial Tuesday.
Christopher DiMaria told the court that Murphy had been drinking at a golf course before the deadly accident.
However, DiMaria says his friend was not visibly intoxicated, but he also said the Boy Scouts were not in the road, according to Newsday.
Last week another friend testified that he believed Murphy was not sober enough to drive before he allegedly hit the group of Scouts in Manorville last year.
Twelve-year-old Andrew McMorris was killed.
