Bridgeport police say a pizza delivery scam backfired, landing one of the scammers in the hospital.
Police say four teens ordered pizza early Sunday morning, giving a house on Earl Avenue as the address. They say when the deliveryman arrived, the teens tried to steal the pizza from the car.
Police say the teens may have also tried to rob the man.
Investigators say the deliveryman then accidentally struck one of the teens with his car.
They say the teen was rushed to the hospital. His condition was not immediately available.

Police say the case is under investigation and criminal charges may be pending.
