Police say a 56-year-old man was fatally struck by an Isuzu box truck while he was crossing the street in Soundview Saturday.

The incident happened on Bronx River and Westchester avenues around 5 p.m.

Police say the truck was making a right turn onto Bronx River Avenue when the victim was knocked to the ground and struck by the truck's rear tires.

They say the driver remained on the scene. No arrests have been made.
