As the cold temperatures grip the Island, Nassau County is opening up warming centers for residents in need.

As the cold temperatures grip the Island, Nassau County is opening up warming centers for residents in need.

The Cantiague Park Ice Rink in Hicksville is open today from 7:30 a.m. until 11 p.m.

Christopher Morley Park in Roslyn will be open from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m.

And the Aquatic Center in East Meadow will be open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

County officials are also reminding residents the homeless hotline to help those in need find shelter is 1-866-WARM BED
