Man arrested in Huntington Station hit-and-run

Posted: Updated:

Police say they've caught the hit-and-run driver who plowed into a group of people in Huntington Station last month.

Rupel Portillo-Gonzalez was arrested in East Northport just days after the Suffolk Police Department released a photo of the unique multi-colored truck involved in the incident.

According to police, the 30-year-old left the Three Stars restaurant on West Hills Road and proceeded to hit three people and then drove off.

The victims in the hit-and-run suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
