NYPD probes possible hate crimes after 2 egg throwing incidents in Borough Park

The NYPD is investigating two egging attacks in Borough Park over the weekend as possible hate crimes.
The NYPD says the first egging happened at a synagogue, and the second was at a woman walking on the sidewalk.

The NYPD says on Saturday around 6 p.m. someone threw an egg into Sanz Synagogue along Dahill Road. No one was injured.
Nearly 24 hours later there was a second incident. This time a woman and a child were walking on 38th Street Sunday afternoon when a group of teens ran up behind them and hurled several eggs in their direction, hitting the woman.
In both incidents the attackers ran away.
Neighbors tell News 12 there have been many others over the past month, showing News 12 cameras a door stained with egg yolks from when it was targeted a few weeks ago.

The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating both incidents.
Police say they're looking for at least three male teens.
