Section of Jericho Turnpike closed to fix damaged utility poles following car crash

A section of Jericho Turnpike is still closed in Woodbury Sunday morning to fix utility poles that were damaged in a car crash.

The two-car crash happened around 8 p.m. Saturday. Police say six people were hurt, but those injuries are not life-threatening.

All of the victims were taken to nearby hospitals. Police have not confirmed the cause of the accident and when the road is expected to reopen.
