Posted: Updated:

Two convenience stores fell victim to robberies within 15 minutes of each other in Suffolk, police say.

The first happened at a 7-Eleven on Fifth Avenue in Bay Shore around 3 a.m. Wednesday. Police say a suspect pulled out what appeared to be a gun and demanded cash. An employee handed over an undisclosed amount of money.

Minutes later, a similar incident unfolded at a BP in Brentwood. Police say the suspect then demanded cash and ran off.

Police believe both robberies were committed by the same man.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Third Squad at 631-852-8352.
