Police: Grocery store worker lured boy to recycling room, sexually abused him

An employee at a Great Neck supermarket is accused of luring a 7-year-old boy to a recycling room and sexually abusing him.
Nassau police say it happened Friday afternoon at the Best Market at Great Neck Plaza. Detectives say the child was in the store with his grandmother with the suspect allegedly led him to the bottle recycling room.
The suspect, identified as 34-year-old David Bonom, allegedly put his hands in the boy's pants and touched him inappropriately.
Detectives say the boy told his father what happened when he got home. His father went back to the store and called the police.
Police say Bonom was arrested without incident, but was taken to the hospital. It's unclear why.
Bonom, of Great Neck, was expected to face a judge on Sunday on a charge of sexual abuse.
Best Market told News 12 that it had no comment about the alleged incident.
Detectives are asking anyone who thinks they may have also been a victim to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
