Police: Man robs Hempstead cellphone store at gunpoint

Police say a man robbed a Hempstead cellphone store at gunpoint Monday night.
They say the suspect walked into the Metro PCS store on Fulton Avenue wearing a mask and gloves just before 8 p.m.
Police say he took out a black handgun and ordered the 25-year-old employee to the back of the store.
They say the suspect then demanded her to get under the desk and asked where he could find cash and cellphones.
Police say he took off with cash. No injuries were reported.
