Dozens of student volunteers clean up Hempstead Lake State Park

Posted: Updated:

More than 50 college students spent their Sunday cleaning up Hempstead Lake State Park.

They joined the group Save the Earth from A to Z Sunday.

Their goal is to make the community aware of the effects littering has in the area.

The cleanup effort is part of the organization's Reduce Crime Together movement.
