A Brentwood man was arrested for driving the wrong way and almost hitting two police cars yesterday evening, according to authorities.

Miguel Caban drove his Ford pickup truck westbound in the eastbound lanes of Route 109 in West Babylon, according to police. The incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police officers in a marked patrol car and an unmarked car said they had to move out of the way to avoid a potential head-on collision.

The 57-year-old Caban was eventually arrested by those officers. He was charged with reckless driving, as well as criminal possession of a controlled substance.
