Police: 2 charged in connection to discovery of woman's body wrapped in blanket

Police have identified the woman whose body was found wrapped in a blanket Friday night in University Heights, and they say two people are facing charges in connection to the case.
Police say at around 11:20 p.m., they responded to a call of a possible dead body in the area of West 183rd Street and Sedgewick Avenue.
When they arrived, they found 54-year-old Judy Guzman, of the Bronx, unconscious and unresponsive inside of a blanket. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they have charged 50-year-old Joseph Howe and 53-year-old Jorge Torres with concealment of a human corpse and tampering with physical evidence in connection to the case.
Police say Howe lived in the same building as the victim. The building provides permanent supportive housing to residents.
The cause of death remains unclear. Police said Saturday that the medical examiner's office would determine the cause.
