Police identify man fatally struck by alleged drunk driver

Police have identified the man who was fatally struck by an alleged drunk driver Friday morning in Bridgeport.

They say 39-year-old Jose David Alamo-Diaz was crossing the street when he was struck by 27-year-old Moniece McNeil.

Officials say Alamo-Diaz was not in the crosswalk when he was struck.

McNeil was arrested Friday morning.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
