Two people were injured in a single-car crash in Melville early Saturday morning, and police say the driver had a suspended license.

They say a 2018 Mercedes-Benz vehicle veered off the roadway, struck two poles and overturned on Ruland Road. It happened around 2 a.m.

The driver, identified as 28-year-old Ronald Kibler, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center with serious injuries. A 25-year-old passenger was hospitalized with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.

Kibler was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license, and police say his license had been suspended 15 times on eight separate dates.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
