Police: Man broke into Hicksville business to steal cash, cigarettes, lottery tickets

Posted: Updated:

Police say they've arrested a man in connection to a string of burglaries at a Hicksville business.

They say Paul Danielowich, of Levittown, was caught on surveillance video breaking into Hicksville Beer and Soda on West Village Green.

Police say on multiple occasions, he would break into a neighboring, empty store then break through a shared wall before stealing cash from the register and ATM.

They say he also stole cigarettes and lottery tickets.

When officers took Danielowich into custody, officials say he was in possession of heroin and crack cocaine.

He's expected to face a judge Thursday on burglary and drug charges.
