Coastal flood warning, watch in effect for Long Island

A coastal flood warning and watch are in effect for Long Island.

News 12 meteorologists say it will be mainly cloudy and windy overnight with periods of rain. Temperatures will be in the 50s.

A coastal flood watch is in effect for parts of Suffolk County from late Thursday night to early Friday morning.

There is also a coastal flood advisory for the North Shore that will last from 9 p.m. to noon on Friday.

Friday is expected to be mostly cloudy with scattered showers, and temperatures in the low-60s.
