School Spirit Showdown: Division Avenue High School in Levittown

Posted: Updated:

With more than 29,000 votes, Division Avenue High School in Levittown is the week one winner of the School Spirit Showdown!

Principal John Coscia says Division Avenue is a great school with an incredibly tight community, adding that once students pass through the hallways, they're a 'Dragon' for life.

"One of the things that we want to do is really set up all of our students for success when they graduate," says Coscia.

Kids say the teachers are the best you can get.  They say they are offered a great mix of sports, clubs and activities throughout the whole year.

Students tell News 12 they are dedicating the win to Mr. Verdi, a teacher who recently passed away.

"He truly embodied the spirit of Division Avenue, always pushing us to have school spirit and have character, and he was so important in so many kids' lives," says student Emily Fuchs.

The vote runs through Oct. 21 - so make sure to keep voting for your favorite school here!
