Nassau police: 1 injured in Uniondale shooting

Nassau police are searching for the gunman who shot a man in Uniondale early this morning.

Detectives say officers were called to Greengrove Avenue around 1:15 a.m.

They say they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his left ankle. The suspect took off before police arrived.

Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
