Local veterans were honored at the Jones Beach Theater Thursday night.

The WBAB Vets Rock 2019 event helped raise money for those who have served.

A group of veterans from the Project 9 Line All Stars were on stage entertaining the crowd in attendance.

News 12 is told that a dollar from each ticket that was sold will provide assistance to combat wounded service members and their families. It will also provide assistance through national organization Hope for the Warriors to the families of those killed in action. 

The organization Island Harvest was also collecting food at the event. 

Donations will be distributed to veterans in need through the Operation Hope Program.
