NYC Department of Education decides to close on Dec. 23

NEW YORK CITY -

The New York City Department of Education has announced schools will close on Dec. 23, 2019.

The department tweeted Tuesday, "Every year, we work towards a calendar that meets the needs of students and families. In response to feedback, we have adjusted the 2019-20 School Calendar and will close on December 23, 2019."
