Officials say a boater is safe after his boat overturned off Freeport Saturday.

Officials say a boater is safe after his boat overturned off Freeport Saturday.
The Marine Bureau says they got a call for an overturned sailboat in the Jones Inlet around 4 p.m.
The 45-year-old man's boat had overturned after it was hit by a wave and he was thrown into the water.
He was able to climb back onto the overturned boat while awaiting rescue.
The man was not injured. The sailboat was towed back to shore.
